Camp Director Anna

After some years as a high-level organiser and leader on SUTS Youth Camp, Anna was the logical fit for the new camp director for 2024.
Anna believes that young people are vital to the future of the church and global mission, and believes they can be empowered to bring about a world that knows Jesus even before adulthood. She knows from her many years of experience as a camper that SUTS Youth is one of the best ways to build lifelong Christian friendships, and that it's an incredibly fun way to spend a week of Summer!

She is also committed to the highest level of safety, and understands that importance of strict ChildSafe requirements as she recruits her team of leaders and looks ahead to activities on camp. Anna is currently studying a Juris Doctor, and is a promising leader of tomorrow.

Contact Anna at youth.vic@cms.org.au to discuss all things SUTS Youth.

Camp Speaker Karen Winsemius

Karen is the Generations Pastor at Oaktree Anglican Church, and has been heavily involved in mission in Victoria for many years now. She is a long-term prayer warrior for missionaries, and is a highly credentialed thought-leader in missiology in Melbourne. She has spent the past 10 years working in a number of churches across Melbourne, focusing on ministry to young people and their families.

At camp this year, Karen will be discussing Psalms 8, 136, 73, and 121, and how they help us to lift our ‘Eyes Up’ to Jesus. We will learn how missionaries use the power of praise in the Psalms to bring living water to thirsty nations, and how we can be inspire others in the Gospel closer to home. Karen’s passion for young people intersects with her study in cross-cultural mission, bringing valuable insights for young people today. She will challenge us and encourage us on to greater acts of faith in the future.
